Triple C and Cor D. Rover can look back on a successful first year of cooperation. The first contracts with leading yacht builders in China have been signed and there are many potentially interesting projects in the pipeline. Via active representation at various boat shows, interesting contacts have been made and it has become even more clear what is expected in China in terms of yacht design. Through a better understanding of expectations, future design processes will run faster and more smoothly. Ultimately, the quality of the design is the main condition for successful sales of the yacht and that awareness now starts to penetrate also in China.

The Chinese marine market is expected to make large steps forward the coming years. The Chinese government 5 year plan focuses on boosting local luxury spending, yachting is about to become the next hot topic. Yachting infrastructure is still in the early phase, but many development projects were displayed at the various boatshows. Also boatbuilders are shifting strategy from export focus towards domestic supplies.

During the upcoming Shanghai International Boat Show (19-22 April) Cor D. Rover and Triple C are again actively represented. It is the first time that this show will be held at the new Expo Exhibition & Convention Center at the former World Expo site. A great moment for all existing relationships to meet again and make new contacts.
